Embracing the Golden Era of Wind Power to Secure the Bridgehead of the SEA Market
The Asia wind energy market is undergoing an expediting increase and it is estimated to make up 45% or above of global new wind energy generation capability by 2025. China, India and South Korea play a critical role in the development of wind energy in Asia, among which China has become the world largest wind energy market. The total wind power generation will reach 270 megawatts by 2030, while the total wind turbine installed capacity will exceed 430 megawatts by 2035.

As stated in the Beijing Wind Energy Declaration 2.0, China will reach 500 megawatts in its total wind turbine installed capacity by 2060 and 20 gigawatts in its average annual installed capacity during the period of the 15th Five-Year Plan, taking the leading position worldwide in wind turbine installed capacity for 13 consecutive years. Additionally, China boasts rich marine wind energy resources with great exploration potentials. It is estimated that China will reach 200 gigawatts in its total wind turbine installed capacity by 2030, which creates an investment valued at 2.6 trillion yuan, contributing a total output value of more than 20 trillion yuan to the industrial chain. High-speed growth momentum can be seen in both China`s wind power construction and overseas new wind turbine installation, introducing broad market space to wind energy equipment industry.

2026 Asia Wind Energy Expo and 2026 Asia Offshore Wind Energy Generation Engineering and Equipment Expo will make its debut at China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, in September 2026. Positioning as a high-graded mega event of wind power industry in Asia, the Expo aims to establish a professional platform that integrates technology demonstration, trade and commercial cooperation, policy studying and discussion, and trend prediction, which will fully focus on global wind power sector, especially the latest achievements and future directions of offshore wind power, to enhance industrialized application and internationalized cooperation of clean energy technologies.
